Chaos on water surface, root page

A large collection of adhesion related pictures of water surface is posted. These are pictures of water climbing on sea weed and on rocks due to adhesion (related phenomena are surface tension, cohesion and capillary). Curved water surface creates distorting mirrors reflecting plants and rocks in a manifold of forms. Real fireworks of colours and abstract textures. Colours are natural and come from blue sky, plants and wet rock - in some cases from photographer's hand, too. Many golden, warm colours are reflections of rocks which setting sun has painted yellowish.

The photographed area in many pictures is about the size of a stamp. Many pictures have been cropped not to fill picture with unsharp foreground or background (inevitable in macro photography when photographing inclined surfaces). Pictures have been taken with a pocket digi (priced €150-200); this is said just to encourage to look for and to photograph these wonderful miniatyre worlds among rocks and plants.
