Can't forget downhill drive: 15 kilometers 5%-8% from Golden (CO) using US Hwy 70! Just to experience it once more one has to return there! On my way to Arches National Park not the fastest but the most beautiful route was using State Hwy 128 from Cisco to Moab. Temperature raised to 104F and I experienced my first true desert. Arriving in Arches in the afternoon is optimal: ROCKS IN RED.
